A few years ago I read a book about Medjugorje. From that time my life changed and I started researching End Times web sites. I came to believe we ARE in the last days. But as I came closer to Jesus and the Holy Spirit I realized that the end of the World isn't the place to focus on. As Charlie said, we should be focusing on the end of our personal bodily world. Then we can stop worring and focus on LOVING Jesus and everyone we meet.

Thanks for sharing brother. I couldn't agree more. It is when we take on the attitude that the people we meet are Jesus and love them as we love Him that we begin to really love. We have a time, each of us, to live and a time to die. Our focus is to love as He loved. God will take care of the rest.

I agree with what Pax Ex wrote.
I use to go to all those end time prophecy vision websites.
One thing i found that it does do. It puts fear in us and we start
to walk in fear rather than love.
Like Peter, when he took his eyes off of Christ walking on the water,
he saw the waves. His logical mind kicked in and said this can't be
happening and he started to sink.
When we keep our minds on Christ, With God all things are possible.
We learn to walk in faith and see in faith the way God sees things.

I have heard many teachings on the 2nd coming. God has already come
in the death and resurrection for He said on the cross... It is finished.
So we walk by faith. We believe when we die we go to be with Him.
Yes, we are just passing through. Why would i want to focus on the world
that is passing away when I have the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings
in my heart? What a joy and a priveledge to share Jesus with others.

The statement you made "why should I focus on the world" makes lots of sense. I'm glad you mentioned it. I was aware of it but it is good to get refocused. We tend to stray off during our busy days and forget to keep our eyes on Jesus.

I watched the video and this is what i got out of it. To paraphrase:

Reading the bible by itself will not change me. It is the Holy Spirit that uses the Word of God to change me.
We are to be inspired and empowered by the Word of God. by listening to the Word, then obeying and performing the Word we are empowered.
The Bible is written to me and about me. it is the story of my life. The Word will bring you into a place of contentment.

Matthew 24 > Destruction of the Temple. Everything we see is temporary [in the world]. This should show us not to fall in love with "things". Inspiration, Empowerment, Peace and Joy we did not understand before we shall have.

Our bodies are temples that the Holy Spirit lives in. Our temple will be destroyed [we shall all die in the flesh]. We must learn to relax in calamaties. We must become safe and secure in Jesus in the midst of all turmoil in the world.
Birth pains - to be birthed into the kingdom is painful. It is when they rob your property, you forgive them, you love them.
I can only change me. I have to change the way I see and look at things.
When you love like Jesus, you pick up a cross. And someone will come and nail you to it. AMEN! that is the time you reach out in love and say "Father forgive them, they know not what they do."

Just make the decision to love everybody. Don't disagree - just love everybody. the end is coming - which IS OUR DEATH. Get your HEART right with God! STOP gossipping, condemning, judging others. We are called to be servants of Love to the world. We are to walk as Jesus walked.

Matthew 24 > A sign is our LOVE has grown cold.
Jesus FINISHED THE WORK!! WE ARE CALLED TO LIVE IT!!
Begin to proclaim the Good News of God!
We are the church, we are the temple, we are Holy. When we see the abomination of desolation {IT IS LACK OF LOVE}, it means our end is near!

Don't be embarrassed. Love is never offended. Quit trying to straighten out others. You can only straighten yourself out.

Folks, God lives within me. I take him with me everywhere that I may be an effective witness for Him.
Quit judging others. That is God's job. God made us distributors, echoes of his Love. LIVE IT!!
