Default Testimonies

The story on Winston started with the Good News Ministry in 1996. I was building the New Church (Good News Of Divine Mercy) for Bishop O.P. Martin and while we were building took in the homeless Sick. They lived in the unfinished Church until it was finished. The local parishioners ran them off. Winston refused to leave. I came back to the States in 2001 and Pat and Vic Conroy established the Emmea House to take care of the need of the Homeless. I was back in Belize November 2009 to help establish an orphanage and Winston was living on the veranda of the second floor of the Good News of Divine Mercy Church with his blanket on concrete 4 foot by 9 foot slab. Every day the Priest and parishioners had to walk around him to to get to their office work. A picture of the church is located at www.charlieosburn.com Winston life was the greatest teaching tool, teaching me how to serve and expect nothing in return. (Agape). I praised the Lord for Winston, his service to the church in Belize is over/ I am certain of this, God will send another Winston to lay at the gate of the Good News of Divine Mercy Church to Teach. The Rich Man, Lazarus a poor man Lay at his gate. You all know the story.
Vickei was being very kind to the church in Belize

Default Haiti Relief Project

Subject: Re: Haiti Relief Project -

Charlie,

I just returned from Atlanta and engaging in a marathon negotiation with the number 2 man from the Shaolin Temple in China to bring games based on the Shaolin brand to the world. We, "the Academy" were instrumental in bringing together the Chinese and an American production company to develop the game. We were also instrumental through our school partnership in China to bring the funding to the project. This is what has preoccupied my time for the past many months as this is just a part of the funding we helped engineer for the school in china for their own expansion.

I agree with you about the plight of the peoples of Haiti. There is not another country in the world so put upon as to their plight as is Haiti. I suppose we could toss in Somalia and a couple of others in Africa as well. But this one takes the prize for such incredible destruction and the demoralization of the population.

Charlie, my personal concern is for the homeless and abandoned children. They are the future of Haiti. Catholic relief services and other orphanages there, if they even survived, are stressed to the max from all reports I have seen. Is there a way you can organize something that can help secure their safety? The predators and baby factories are already out in force.preying on them and spurred on for the market in kids from the childless and well meaning in the USA and other parts of the world from slave merchants in the Middle East to sweat shops in Africa. Someone needs to protect these kids as they appear to have been lost in the greater destruction and appear far down on the priority list. Please think about this Charlie. I know you will know what to do. We need to save and protect these kids.

I leave on Sunday for China. I will be back on the 11th. Please keep me posted. Perhaps I can join you in Haiti on my return to assist you in any way I can.

Fred

Default prayer request

Subject: hi Charlie and Jeanne

Hi Charlie and Jeanne,

I am not sure if you will remember me. I am Cara Klimanowski's sister we met quite a few years ago in Newington CT.
I am writing to you so you can keep my soon to be ex brother in law Peter. He is in desperate need of prayer.

Peter has slipped off the wagon and is now living in Vermont with another woman and doing drugs and drinking a lot.
He was just pulled over in New Hampshire for drunk driving his blood alcohol level was .19 which is two and a half times
the legal limit.

He is no longer a deacon because of his addictions and has lost just about everything.

I am hoping the you could pray for him. He really needs to get into a rehab program.

God Bless you and thanks
i will have more time on monday to fill you in.

Default evangelical journey

Sent: Sun, March 21, 2010 5:26:09 PM
Subject: My evangelical journey

Well, I'll be travelling across the US en route to visit friends in California. I'm leaving Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, and spending the summer travelling and blogging my journey of faith with those who have left faith, love the faith, or are struggling. As we know, there are large numbers who have left, and my hope is that in listening to them, and giving them a voice we, as Catholics can work to tailor our efforts to their needs in faith.

i currently study at an evangelical college here in Kitchener, having done the research and finding that none of our Catholic universities in Canada provide sound support in either the orthodoxy or the doctrine of our faith, on either a Christian or Catholic level. I've found that the evangelical message of faith matches my "feelings" for years, that the message needs to come out of churches and that too much of it stays inside.

to that end, I have decided to devote all I have to God, in using my retirement savings (I'm wayyyyy too young to retire yet) and share his message. I hope that in my travels I can include your location as a place to stop and rest for awhile, and share stories and encouragement.

My goal is to leave at the end of April, and hope that you may accommodate me for a short while on my travels. Please let me know if this is amenable to you.

May God bless,

Leanne Whalen
