I do see my association with Adam and Eve's fall. We are all completely linked together. Unlike the Angels, who do not "beget" Angels but are made each one individually by God, we are a race of people. We are all linked through the act of procreation and therefore are all involved in the FALL. One thing that sticks out in my mind is the reality that prior to coming to a spiritual understanding of God and the Son through the Holy Spirit, I had never seen the evil in the world as I do now. In other words my eyes have been opened and I can now see the difference between good and evil. One of the pitfalls of being BORN AGAIN is the ability to judge others according to our new found beliefs. This is a very dangerous area that we must hope that God will carry us through. The desire to be as a God, which is a state we all live in, is just that, an ability to see evil in others and we have been taught that we have to clean up this evil in the name of God. In one of Davids teachings he talks about the person who is down on their knees looking for their keys and a friend comes along and helps them look for them for a time. After awhile the friend ask are you sure you lost your keys here and the person answers no I lost them back at the house. Why are you looking here then ask the friend and the answer is amazing. It is dark back in the house, there is more light here. It is always easier to see the darkness in others, it is so hard to look within myself and get honest about who I am and how I operate.
Thank God for His method of saving us. Thank Jesus for healing the breach between us and the Father, and thank the Holy Spirit for coming into our beings so that we can see clearly "IF WE WILL LOOK" into our own hearts and have the ability to analyze ourselves and not try to pick the splinter from our brothers eyes. I don't remember the exact words Mother Angelica ( EWTN ) used I am paraphrasing. She said we are similar to a police officer in that if he sees someone go through a red light he stops him and gives him a ticket for court. He doesn't fine him. It's up to the Judge to find him guilty or not guilty. So in the same way if we see that someone is intoxicated every time we see him/her I think we should try to help the person with some kind of action, by words or prayer. We may not think we are better than him/her but feel obligated to help. Am I off on the wrong track or does this make sense?
